Expedition Unknown is a show that is on the Discovery channel. Josh Gates takes us on his adventures as he investigates lost cities, unsolved events, buried treasures and other puzzling stories. On September 12th,13th and 14th in 2021, Josh and his crew traveled from California to New York to meet up with Robbie Hoffman as they chase the lost fortune of prohibition bootlegger Dutch Schultz. Josh and the Long Island Diving Association investigate the murky waters off of Dutch Schultz’s lavish mansion on the south shore of Long Island. The home was originally built by William Vanderbilt in 1902. Dutch rented the mansion in 1934 and 1935 while he was in hiding from the federal government.
