About Robbie

Robbie Hoffman

Robbie was born January 5, 1965 in Port Jefferson, NY.  He was the youngest child of Charles and Meredith Hoffman and was raised along with his six siblings in Rocky Point, NY.  Tragedy struck his life at the age of 14 when his mother died of cancer. This forced him to grow up quicker than his peers. He learned at an early age that you get out of life what you put into it.  His motto from then on was effort is everything.  In high school, he excelled in sports on the soccer and baseball fields which led to him being captain of the Varsity Baseball Team and making All League honors. After graduating from Rocky Point High School, Robbie worked for a local construction company, Maranne General Contracting. He worked his way up from laborer to mechanic to foreman within the first 7 years. In year 8, Robbie bought the company for $50,000 and changed the name to Robert C. Hoffman Contracting Inc.
